Jessica Boalt, Executive Director of the Geauga County Department on Aging, reports that she is humbled by the many donations they have received from community members, local businesses, county departments and faith-based and community organizations to assist their agency as they provide services to Geauga’s seniors.
Even though many people have been helped, the Senior Food Pantry is running low on items. They could use a collection of shelf stable/non perishable items to distribute to home bound seniors in need.
If you can donate, please place items in the drop off box outside the Department on Aging Located at 470 Center Street, Building 2, in Chardon Monday through Friday from 8 am until 4 pm. Grocery items needed include canned vegetables, canned fruit, jelly, applesauce, boxed cereal, soups, mac & cheese, apple juice, rice, crackers and Hormel ready dinners.
