This is SmartAsset’s sixth annual study on state markets. They looked at criteria such as stability, risk, how easy it is to sell a house in that market, and home costs relative to median income. While nine of the top 10 are in the southeastern part of the state, the top spot is right here in Northeast Ohio. The top 10 housing markets in Ohio, according to this study are Chardon, Pickerington, Fairfield, Kettering, Amelia, Milford, Springboro, Tipp City, Troy and Hilliard.
The biggest factor in Chardon’s top listing was how long homes are on the market, on average. SmartAsset found that in Chardon, homes are on the market an average of less than four days. Low home prices were also a large factor. You can check out the full study here , including an interactive map.
